When I was riding in a Van Pool, our driver was allergic to women's perfume.  In fact she was allergic to all fragrance perfume cologne...and sometimes, even hand lotion.  I remember we were told if we wanted to ride the Van Pool, we could not wear any of the above mentioned, or hair products that smelled including hair spray.  The truth of the matter was she did start sneezing, and she could not stop.  I felt so badly for her, and we always tried to comply with her needs.

However, one day, we had a new rider who had been told about the allergies.  She did not think about hair gel having an odor; but, she got on the van, and my poor driver went into fits.  Another one of us completed the drive, and the girl with the gel was told either loose the gel or find another ride.  The statement sounded harsh; however, we often do not consider how our actions affect others.  This was a learning experience for me, and I work hard to be considerate of my surrounding environment.
