women's perfume

Every year the book club that I belong to draws names for Christmas. The one thing that we all agreed that we wouldn't buy each other was books since it seems like the obvious choice to buy people in a book club. We thought it would be fun to buy each other anything different than books, since that is the tie that binds us and it is great to get to know each other on other levels aside from the books we share.

This year I drew a girl’s name that is fairly new to the club. She's very sweet and soft spoken, but I find that I have no idea what to buy her. I've been thinking that it would be nice to give her some women's perfume, but I'm not sure if women’s perfume is something that she likes. I always find giving women's perfume to people that I don't know that well as a difficult choice, because after all, what if the person is allergic to women's perfume, or hates the particular scent that you give them? So that leaves me the question as to whether I should risk it and order her some women's perfume, or if I should scratch the idea and think up something completely different.

I do know that she does wear some types of women's perfume, because at last night’s meeting I found myself sitting beside her and noticed that she did indeed have on women's perfume. Either that or her bath soap smells really great, although something tells me that isn't the case. Even though she is a little quiet, I do think that she's a fun loving girl and from what I can gather, she loves new adventures and trying new things. She mentioned going in a hot air balloon with one of her friends, which I would definitely say isn't an act of someone who plays it safe all the time. I decided that even though I may live to regret it if she is attached to only one type of women's perfume, that I'm going to order her some as her gift anyway, and make a gift basket with some chocolates and personalized stationary.
