perfume bottles


My grandma enjoyed shopping in antique stores and collecting pretty perfume bottles. Some of my favorite memories of time spent with my grandma revolve around trips to antique stores. We would visit local antique stores or make a road trip day of it and go out of town. My grandma had a knack of making antique shopping a blast and we would spend hours in one store going from booth to booth. We never missed an aisle and had to check out everything before leaving the shop. Most times we left with pretty perfume bottles to add to her collection at home.

My grandma's perfume bottles took over her entire living room. It was an old fashioned set up with a flowered couch, cherry wood tables and crystal lamps. The pretty perfume bottles were everywhere you looked. Some might say it was overdone but I just thought it was comforting. Every time we brought home perfume bottles grandma moved around others to prominently display the new ones. Then we would sit on that flowered couch, she drinking tea, I drinking cocoa and discuss our outing and finds. Such great memories!
