Excited About Artsy Japanese Perfume Bottle |

There is something that is really attractive about Japanese popular culture. I have been infatuated with their anime, their cuisine, the wild color, the serene architecture, their motorcycles and the art of drifting for a long time. It rubbed off on my brother too. He went as far trying to learn the language. That is something I have yet to try. We grew up in the Pacific Northwest, in an area with a heavy Japanese influence. Teriyaki chicken, in this part of the country is almost as common as coffee stands. What really got me into this culture was drifting.
Drifting is the act of controlled sliding traditionally with a rear-wheel drive car (see video below). Since the Pacific Northwest is a very wet area, there were more than enough days to hit a wide-open parking lot or suburban turn, screeching the tires without losing a lot of rubber because of the slick asphalt. This was helpful in saving money. We had a little crew in high school who drove drift inspired cars. I had an upgraded Nissan S13 where all my money went. My mom could not believe I dropped thousands of dollars on suspension and drivetrain parts but it was my passion. My high school graduation gift was a trip to a racetrack to learn how to drift better from a couple professionals. By college, I moved onto Japanese sport bikes but someday when I have more money I’d like to build another drift car. Japan has a knack for capitalizing on their popular culture through a range of products Americans take for granted.
While shopping through the perfumes and colognes sold within Jig Black at http://www.jigblack.com/ I came across a perfume bottle that I would have bought even if I wasn’t looking for a birthday gift for my girlfriend. Seen in the picture above, the Harajuku Lovers Music, EDT Spray 1 oz, Women combines the passion for music with a cool looking anime character. I can honestly say this is the most creative perfume bottle I’ve ever seen. Part of the reason I shop online is because random products, in this case an awesome perfume bottle, that I would have never seen otherwise show up. If my girlfriend doesn’t like this fragrance perfume, it is going on my bookshelf. Jig Black has a complete set of these perfume bottles, each with a different character shape. I would love to collect all of them. Since the featured perfume bottle, seen above, is inspired by music, it is going to be interesting to find out what it smells like.
