Yesterday afternoon I was walking by my desk and found an empty perfume bottle sitting on top of it.  I looked around my office in hopes of finding out who had left the perfume bottle but no one was paying attention so I wasn’t sure what to think.   I decided that maybe someone had left it there on accident, so I decided to leave it there and see what happened.    Two or so hours later my boss sent me an interoffice memo and asked if I’d seen the perfume bottle.    I responded that I had but I had no idea who it was from or what I was supposed to do with it.    He said he was sorry- that he’d planned to write me a note but got a call that he needed to take so he ended up only leaving the bottle behind.  It’s his wife’s favorite perfume and he was wondering if I’d order a bottle for her and have it delivered to their home.   I told him that I’d be happy to as soon as I got a free minute.  By the end of the day the perfume bottle was back in his hands and the new bottle had been ordered.
