perfume bottle, perfumes and colognesMy girlfriend is an extremely crafty person. She learned the art of home design from her mom who stages residential real estate as a career. I walk into her apartment and it feels like those model spaces leasing agents always take you into when trying to rent a unit. I always fall in love with these decorated spaces but then after moving in mine never looks half as good. The trick to staging is using already existing items in the best possible way. Take for example the empty perfume bottles my girlfriend collects. Perfumes and colognes come in really cool packaging sometimes. They can double as pieces of home décor in a bathroom. Alongside candles, a pink orchid flower and toiletries she has lined up her favorite perfume bottles.

It might not sound very cool but she has the bottles on little square frames at varying heights which make for a really nice look. It is safe to say her bathroom décor beats mine. I took her candle idea but it never went farther than that. Creativity goes a long ways.
